About All Aboard Washington
All Aboard Washington is a non-profit 501(c)3 consumer advocacy organization, supported by membership dues, that advocates balanced transportation for Washington State. For over thirty years (originally as The Washington Association of Rail Passengers) we have fulfilled several important functions in the following ways:
- We are an independent voice for rail users.
- We are effective advocates for cost-effective rail investments with decision makers and policy makers.
- We speak out for those who want safe and efficient rail transport to be part of our transportation future.
- We advise Amtrak, our state government and freight railroads on important passenger rail issues.
- We work closely with stakeholders, as well as rail advocates, in Oregon, Montana and British Columbia.
In Olympia All Aboard Washington has “made the varsity”. Both WSDOT and the state legislature rely on us to educate and get the message out. We can walk into the office of any legislator, regardless of party, and be treated with respect. There are a lot of state and regional associations of rail passengers in North America, but none has our track record of achievement. No one leads like All Aboard Washington!
